Dr Lee Lip Seng is a Senior Consultant Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgeon practising at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. He is also an Accredited Surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Orchard Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Parkway East Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital and Farrer Park Hospital. Dr Lee’s speciality is in Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery) in the treatment of liver, pancreatic and biliary, gallbladder diseases and cancers.
Dr Lee obtained his medical degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005 and completed his Surgery Specialist Training at both Changi General Hospital and Singapore General Hospital in 2013. He further received a year of Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Fellowship Award for Clinical Fellowship Training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery) for HPB Surgery at Yonsei Severance Hospital, Seoul, Korea in 2015.
Upon returning to Singapore, Dr. Lee played a pivotal role in the development of Minimally Invasive and Robotic HPB Surgery at Changi General Hospital, contributing significantly to the program’s success. Prior to leaving for private practice, he served as the Director of the HPB Service at Changi General Hospital.
Besides his dedication and passion for clinical practice, Dr Lee believes in teaching and training future generations of junior doctors and medical students. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School; Clinical Senior Lecturer and Examiner for NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; Clinical Teacher at Lee Kong Chian (LKC) School of Medicine, Supervisor for both the basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures, and endoscopic procedures at CGH. Dr Lee also actively guides other specialist surgeons who are taking up minimally invasive HPB surgery with laparoscopy and robot. He has received multiple awards for his dedication to excellent patient care and his contributions to the education of future generations of surgeons.
